Okay, so AnyPorn can’t exactly boast that it presents a “clean” user interface, but it’s still reasonably well-organized. That web page design makes it fairly easy to know what and where everything is. However, there’s no getting around the fact that the design choices still leave the page looking a little bit cluttered.

Granted, the homepage itself isn’t all that cluttered, but it doesn’t provide the quickest access to all of the page’s areas either. Still, the homepage follows a fairly common approach which sees a group of presently popular videos, a group of new videos, and a group of popular categories.

Click to another page, and you’ll see a sidebar with the most popular categories on the left. On every page there sits a header bar with the major grouping links, but none of the specific ones. Still, for how messy it can look due to small font and thumbnail sizes, it’s at least colored in a dark grayscale to make viewing in the dark more comfortable.

As a bonus, and likely due to its long-standing history, AnyPorn also reads in six different languages. Sure, you’re likely only going to view AnyPorn in English, but it’s the kind of touch that at least says AnyPorn is here to stay.

Solid Indexing System

However messy AnyPorn’s user interface can sometimes feel, at least it has a decently solid indexing system to make navigating the site easier. Granted, the indexing system isn’t “perfect,” but it’s still a lot better than many of the smaller and newer sites out there. As a bonus, the tags appear colored, so you don’t have to worry about telling where one ends and another begins.

What to make of AnyPorn’s actual content? Well, like with most things about this site, it comes with a mix of good and bad. On the good side, AnyPorn boasts an extremely large catalog of over 500k videos and counting. Granted, that’s not the largest porn catalog online, but it’s certainly nothing to sneeze at either.

That said, a catalog this size doesn’t just occur by accident, and AnyPorn can thank multiple sources and partnerships for its large database. These days, the majority of AnyPorn’s vids come from user uploads which can lead to some mixed results but generally works out well enough.

However, AnyPorn also takes extra steps to work with porn studios, ensuring that the content hosted won’t get taken down. This is great because it means that if you find a vid you like, you don’t have to worry about it getting taken down by a copyright strike. However, clips can be managed so long as they show you what you want to see.

In the end, AnyPorn isn’t a “bad” site, but it does so many things in a seemingly halfway manner that it can be extremely frustrating if nothing else. For instance, the user interface is reasonably comfortable to look at, but it’s sized for people who have 20/20 vision. It might save on server space but at the cost of easy viewing.

Likewise, the indexing system is robust and aesthetically pleasing, but it’s applied inconsistently. On top of that, the mess of a categories list can be more trouble than it’s worth. That’s not to suggest there isn’t anything good about AnyPorn. The main problem is that whatever AnyPorn does well, other porn sites out there do it better– often much better.

An example of this is how AnyPorn boasts a large catalog of videos. However, to maintain this catalog, AnyPorn works with major studios to help prevent the vids from being taken down. While that’s good on the surface, it leaves almost all of the vids in clip form. It also doesn’t help that most of the vids aren’t in HD either. All in all, this AnyPorn might be best reserved as a third– or fourth– option.
